After its contribution at Blue Marina Awards – Capo d’Orlando, Infordata Sistemi Srl Società Benefit took part on 8 July 2026 in the Marina Carmelo – Vibo Valentia stage, continuing its work supporting Italian marinas with digital tools, environmental monitoring and climate resilience.
In the talk “From values to standards: innovation, services and measurable sustainability”, Mitja Petelin, Sales Director and CEO of Infordata Sistemi, set out how marinas can develop into intelligent infrastructure, able to monitor risk, consumption, water quality and visitor pressure through reliable data, KPIs and integrated platforms.
The line from Capo d’Orlando to Marina Carmelo makes the direction clear: helping marinas move from being simply tourist infrastructure to becoming regenerative hubs, contributing actively to the protection of the marine ecosystem and to the development of the areas around them.
Infordata Sistemi presented three strands of development:
- A Local Digital Twin of the waterfront: a digital model bringing together weather and sea data, the condition of the infrastructure, environmental quality and patterns of use, to support day-to-day operations and climate resilience.
- Advanced environmental monitoring: water quality, underwater noise, posidonia, biodiversity and visitor pressure, collected and brought together in the acquamArIna platform.
- Regenerative European projects: Horizon Europe, Interreg and EMFAF as the means of bringing practical climate-adaptation and sustainable-management tools into marinas.
The Blue Economy is now a strategic sector for Europe. Demonstrating measurable, positive environmental impact means access to new investment, a more conscious boating public, and a contribution to the regeneration of coastal areas.
