Prix Italia 2024 returns to Turin from 1 to 4 October, marking 70 years of television and 100 years of Rai radio. This year’s theme, “Loud and Clear”, is a tribute to Guglielmo Marconi and his revolution in telecommunications.
Organised by Rai since 1948, the competition recognises the best radio, television and multimedia productions from public service broadcasters worldwide. Among the main events are Jane Campion’s masterclass, the live podcast “Dylan Dog alla radio”, and a screening of the virtual-reality project “Re-Imagine Cabiria”.

The opening includes a tribute to Piero Angela, with Marconi appearing virtually, recreated using AI. The programme closes with one of Prix Italia’s set pieces, the BBC Lecture — “Everything Must Change” — introduced by the President of Prix Italia 2024, Emelie de Jong, Director of France Culture.
Prix Italia takes over some of Turin’s most striking and culturally significant venues, drawing an international audience: the National Cinema Museum in the Mole Antonelliana, the Museo del Risorgimento, the Reggia di Venaria, the Circolo dei Lettori, and the Nuvola Lavazza, which hosts more than 200 delegates from European broadcasters for the EBU’s Big Digital Meet Up.
For an event of this size, the organisation and every stage of accreditation for Prix Italia 2024 are again handled through MeetMe, the platform Rai chose for its ability to coordinate complex events and keep participation running smoothly.
