AERIS - Advanced sEnsor for the Recognition and control of products in the agrI-food Sector
AERIS develops and validates an electronic-nose prototype: a multi-sensor array with artificial-intelligence algorithms that recognises the volatile compounds released by fruit and vegetables in cold rooms and warehouses. Aims: detect ripening, spoilage and decay early, cut food waste and improve quality and traceability. Expected result: demonstration of the system in a real environment (TRL 6).
Project funded by the Friuli Venezia Giulia ERDF Regional Programme 2021-2027 – call a1.3.1 Proof of Concept.
Eligible expenditure: EUR 167,846.00. Grant awarded: EUR 117,492.20, of which 40 % from the European Union (EUR 46,996.88).
