We are proud to share that INSPIRE, the European project in which our company is a partner, has recently been featured in Horizon, the European Commission’s Research & Innovation Magazine.
This is an important recognition for the project and for all the partners involved, highlighting the scientific, technological and environmental relevance of the work being carried out through INSPIRE across Europe.
Addressing one of Europe’s most urgent environmental challenges
The article, titled “Turning the tide on plastic in Europe’s rivers”, focuses on one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time: preventing plastic pollution in European rivers before it reaches the sea.
INSPIRE is presented as part of a broader and highly practical European effort to tackle plastic pollution at its source, combining clean-up strategies with preventive action aimed at stopping plastic from entering waterways in the first place.
From research to real environmental impact
One of the key messages of the Horizon feature is that INSPIRE is not only about research — it is about turning innovation into practical, scalable environmental solutions.
The project addresses the challenge of plastic pollution in all its forms, from visible litter and floating debris to microplastics and nanoplastics, which are increasingly recognised as a serious environmental and health concern.
A valuable recognition for the consortium
Being featured by Horizon, the European Commission’s platform for showcasing EU-funded research and innovation results, is a meaningful acknowledgment of the importance, visibility and impact of the INSPIRE project.
We are pleased to contribute, together with the other project partners, to an initiative that aims to deliver concrete solutions for cleaner rivers, healthier ecosystems and a more sustainable future.
